Apostle Padi Ologo Traditional Birth Centre’s (APOTBC) mission is to Reduce Infant Mortality Through Improved Maternity Health In Africa. Their vision is a culture of sustainability – knowledgeable communities who value and implement best practices in the pursuit of safer and healthier maternal delivery.
Michael Lapsley Foundation
Founded in 2004, it has 3 full-‐time and 3 part-‐time paid staff and 15 volunteers. They are funded by board support, sponsorship and voluntary donations.
Objectives as stated in their constitution are:
• To raise volunteers to address social issues.
• To promote and support the welfare of women and children.
• To educate and support rural education.
• To project what Michael Lapsley stands for (Peace and Forgiveness).
Their mission is to improve the quality of life of the underprivileged by addressing their educational, health and social development needs through the provision of resources, information and training. They are currently affiliated with the African Library Project.
